Shipping, Delivery & Damaged Items

Delivery Responsibility

We are responsible for ensuring your order arrives safely and in good condition. Risk in the goods passes to you once the order has been successfully delivered.


DPD PIN Code Delivery

All UK orders are shipped using a DPD PIN code delivery service (Unless Ship to Shop option is selected).

  • A unique PIN code is provided to you by DPD

  • This PIN must be given to the driver at the point of delivery

  • Parcels will not be left in a safe place or with neighbours

A parcel is considered successfully delivered once the correct PIN has been provided to the driver.


Damaged, Missing or Lost Orders

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or has not been delivered within the expected timeframe, please contact us at info@sportscardsdirect.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery date).

We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a replacement, refund, or further investigation.


Claims & Evidence Requirements

To investigate and resolve claims, we may require:

  • Clear photos of the outer packaging

  • Clear photos of the contents and any damage

  • Photos of the shipping label

  • Video evidence of the parcel being opened (recommended for high-value orders)

  • Retention of all packaging materials

Failure to provide requested evidence may result in delays or refusal of a claim where appropriate.


Courier Investigations

All lost or damaged parcel claims are subject to investigation by the courier.

  • We will handle the claim directly with DPD on your behalf

  • Resolution is subject to the courier’s investigation process

  • We reserve the right to withhold refunds or replacements until the investigation is complete where there is a reasonable basis to do so


Trading Cards & High-Value Items

Due to the nature of trading cards and sealed products:

  • All items are securely packaged and checked prior to dispatch

  • We may document packing processes for high-value orders

  • Claims relating to missing items, tampering, or incorrect contents will be carefully reviewed

We reserve the right to refuse claims where evidence suggests misuse, tampering, or fraudulent activity.


Incorrect Shipping Details

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

We are not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses. If an order is returned to us, additional shipping charges may apply to resend the item.


Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery is missed:

  • DPD will attempt redelivery or provide further instructions.

  • Any alterations to delivery date or address details can only be made by SCD due to the nature of PIN Code delivery.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to rearrange delivery - please contact us directly so we can arrange this for you.

Failure to complete delivery may result in the parcel being returned to us. Additional shipping fees may apply for redelivery.


International Orders

For international shipments:

  • Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import charges

  • Delivery times may vary due to customs processing

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.
